Bury's Better Brighter TK MAXX!

TK MAXX invited Style Crumpet to the opening of their brand newly transformed store in Bury. I asked my lovely friend and home grown Bury girl - Dani Rose to come along and be my muse for the day. We tried out the newly upgraded and very spacious fitting rooms with lots of Spring inspired looks.....

Thank you to Dani for her patience and lovely smile :) She took this apple printed top with very on trend peplum home with her as it suits her so much.

As a raincoat addict I couldn't resist trying this awesome yellow mac on, it made me think of Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby.

Some boots to brighten rainy days before Spring officially arrives.

Some shiny animals in the huge homeware department that I wanted to take home with me.

How can you resist a polka dot brush! These actually make me want to sweep something up.

Photos from my latest shoot with Xanthe and unique beauty - Rachel Marston. Along with Rebecca Anderton who provided the perfect hair and navy lips we went on a day trip to the Peak district on the coldest day of the year. This involved dragging a suitcase over a frozen stream and up a hill and Rachel bravely changing behind large rocks! It was definitely worth all the effort to produce these cinematic photos where Xanthe really captured the spy theme and atmosphere. The outfits were inspired by Louis Vuitton and Allo Allo!

Some pics from a test shoot with the impossibly beautiful Leanne Vasko and Helen before she left for the bright lights of London. As Leanne was the first ever model I styled it was very special to work with her again. For inspiration we revisited the 80s and the days of learning song words from Smash hits on the back seat of the school bus. Leanne looked every inch the pop star and made the 80s cool again.

Latest shoot featuring Pippa Robert's amazing graduate collection - http://www.artsthread.com/p/pipparoberts. I was inspired by the 60's ski look and Pippa's sleak minimalist garments. Our beautiful model was Clare Shaw who was a dream to style. Pippa specialises in felt making, she hand crafted and dyed the garments and bonnet herself. Other garments featured include the knitted lilac hat made by my twin heart Nicola Chapman of Knitterbocker1970sglory fame see her amazing blog here; http://knitterblogger1970sglory.blogspot.com/ Nic is currently knitting her way around Europe and I miss tap dancing with her terribly!
